As a child and the youngest of 3, with one sibling then too old to relate to me and the other a boy and a jock, there was…me, a sweet, sensitive performer at heart who loved to sing and emulate Janet Jackson dance moves. What’s a little girl to do in a house full of older people?  At an early age, books became my companion (aside from my actual animate friends). I would snuggle up excitedly with titles like The Babysitters Club, Sweet Valley Twins, Sweet Valley High and Nancy Drew. Those books sucked me into their worlds, and I happily braced myself for teleportation.  I loved them so much that I (well my mom actually) purchased the entire series collection of each title! A trip to Walden Books was equivalent to a heaping bowl of ice cream – bribe me with either! That love for books followed me into adulthood. I find delectable a good soul-stirring drama, a timeless literary classic, a suspenseful mystery, a dreamy romance and oh add in a self-help book because who doesn’t want to be…. better.

 A love for telling stories has also followed me. I have over 20 years’ experience as an actress, and I’ve trained and performed in all aspects of acting from auditions to performance in D.C., Virginia and Los Angeles. I have an extensive theatre background which then grew into working in film, tv, voiceover and commercials. Most notably, I had the joy of working on the tv show Scandal and as Detective Munroe in the Lifetime movie “Obsessed with the Babysitter”. With theatre, I toured 10 cities  as an actress in the play, The Bachelorette Party and performed in the role of Beneatha in the play  “A Raisin in the Sun” at the Ruskin Theatre in Los  Angeles and more. I’ve performed as a radio announcer for the company Freddie Mac and as a recurring voice actor on the popular Tom Joyner radio show segment “It’s Yo World”.  Calming, Expressive, Assured, Clear, Assertive and Relatable are words that have been used to describe my voice.

When I’m not reading or performing, I’m cooking tasty vegan meals, watching a good movie in my pajamas, or working out/exerting my lungs in an intense jump rope session.
